Description
Minerva serves with the Hero Factory as a medic. Minerva often works in extremely dangerous sites, therefore she wears heavy armor. She carries a riot shield and medical kit.
In 1987 the Transformers Nightbeat had a japanese exclusive redeco named Minerva. So I decided to create a version of Minerva that was similar to Nightbeat. The main difference with the design is her completely different arms. Namely the shoulders are lower, and the arms are thinner. All of her accessories can store in her medical kit
*update 19/02/2014* New deviation to highlight her new shoulder design and legs. The shoulders were changed shortly after I first uploaded the deviation, but I haven't photographed it until now. People complained a lot about the original having shoulders that were too wide, and I wasn't able to fix it. I was already using the smallest bone connected to the most irreplaceable part of the body, so there appeared to be no way of making the shoulders closer without radically changing the build of the MOC. However in a true stroke of brilliance, I realized I was limiting my mind to connecting the joint on the inside of the shoulder armor, and that it was possible to loop the balljoint onto the other side of the armor, and connecting it there, leaving the shoulders far closer to the body. The legs were just changed because the last ones weren't good enough for me, so I came up with a much more elegant solution.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI really like how this model turned out because reflecting a charater from a completely different franchise is a hard challenge in its own degree. I personally is a fan of Aubot Minerva from the Japanese Transformers cartoon series called "Super-God Masterforce" in which is one of the Headmaster Jrs. I love how this model has kept the theme of battlefield medic. The amount of peices used for this model perfectly reflects the descirption of the character. It has a fair mixed of Bionicle and Hero Factory elements. Overall, without a shadow of a doubt an awesome blending of Transformers & Hero Factoy.
