Quickstrike is a prototypical cowboy anti-hero. He travels the sparse Terra Siccus looking for saloons and gambling. Despite being a Hero he is a rogue asset. *based off of Beast Wars Quickstrike The Spyder is solely designed for high speed. It's large wheels have lead weights along the tire that give the wheels huge inertia which results in surprisingly high fuel economy for it's 600mph speeds. The wheels are tilted so that the driver can see over them and also to increase the balance of the vehicle. *Originally built for BML's Bio-Kart contest but I ended up being the judge so that didn't pan out the way I expected. At least I didn't have to rush this thing though. It's been in development hell since late November because I couldn't integrate a gimmick into it. I just figured that if I haven't been able to integrate it in all of this time that I probably never will. Oh, and the wheels do spin. This design is dominated by it's large wheels which give it high speed, low handling and acceleration, and high weight. The attack is fairly low due to only carrying two submachine guns, however defense is surprisingly high because of how fast the vehicle goes. It can basically outrun some weapons. I love all the purple. The vehicle looks sleek, and fast, but is very compact, and I quite like that. The wheels at the angle they are is quite unusual, but I like it. Can it roll well with the wheels at that angle?
The rider is simple, but his colours contrast in a very appealing way to the bike. Also, he's got guns.. this might be a racer to watch out for.
I think if Speeda Demon(similar colours and all) went up against this guy and his 'Spyder', I think this guy would have him beat
Terrific work. I feel bad for not commenting earlier. Don't suppose you'll do more vehicles in the future?
Wow, good count. I was stumbling trying to see if you were correct. Some of the purple is kind of hidden. So you're actually incorrect. There are four purple system cylinder pieces used as a fuel tank under the engine. It can't be seem in any of the pictures though. They can roll but they originally were strained (moreover they tended to come off the bushings that were holding them) once I added the purple armor behind the seat, the rear wheels became almost immobile. I can shift stuff so that they roll but once I set it down they tend to seize up. Actually a couple of people have commented on the my mini-heroes' simplicity, which is kind of confusing. They're actually very complex for their size. They all have upwards of 50 pieces and about 10 points of articulation. But you're right, I never realized how much the colors are reminiscent of Speeda Demon and yes I will be making more vehicles in this series and in general.
Awesomesauce! You did a good job turning the limited number of medium lilac Hero Factory parts into a solid-looking vehicle. The little pilot dude is also pretty cool.
