Hero Factory Racers: Amp 2.0 and the Red Baron

James Amp and his partner Pulse have been building cool weapons and vehicles for the Hero Factory for a long time. Unlike his partner Pulse, Amp is very stoic and quiet. Being very observant he noticed that the rules for Hero Factory Racers did not prohibit aircraft from competing. Though his airplane the Red Baron has a higher speed than some of the cars and can fly above the track, it has a fundamental flaw. In order to take-off and land it has to first get a long straight stretch of track to gain/lose speed. This takes a lot of time and nullified the advantages of flying

*As you can see this is why Velocofuge was built. The contra-rotating propellers are linked to a geared motor and it is truly spectacular to watch it work. I decided on a pusher design for the plane to be more original. If you want more info on the history of Amp check out the Pulse bio below
