Esh and Aivren: Operation Vegetableby ~welcometothedarksyde

SMoT Round 1 entry, I was paired with

so I made his self-MOCs Esh and Aivren into a carrot and celery stalk respectively.
Building these guys was hell, especially considering that I forgot about the contest (due mostly to personal issues). I only started building when my opponent Gale released his entry a few days ago. Esh was first to be built, I immediately wanted to make him a carrot, so I gave him green foliage near his head, and made his build triangular to resemble a carrot. However due to my limited range of orange parts I had to be very creative. Aivren was comparatively a breeze, I tried to make his texture very smooth along his limbs, but more rough along the top (like a celery stalk). Even though they were very hard to make I'm happy with the end result.
I had trouble with my SD card so that's why it's a little late. I hope it's still accepted anyway

I'm With Killain. I love what you did with Esh's ankles. I personally would have used the gresh mask as his head and given Aivren a different one cause the foliage of the carrot is on Esh's back more than its on top. But that's just me. I don't know what Gale's MOCs look like since you didn't link them so I'm not sure what Mask they actually need.

I'm really proud of the entire legs. They're entirely custom and they use some weird techniques

They look... tasty.

Creative work there with the Gresh helmet as the carrot-top. Esh's body is big on top and small on the bottom, and does give off that illusion of a triangular shape, but I do feel it might be better if the Tiger-Nex helmet was flipped. Having it turned facing upwards disrupts the flow of the carrot- shape, I think.
The fact that you even used that helmet in a build is commendable.

Aivren is pretty straightforward. The body is smooth and flows well. I like what you did there at the bottom, with the celery trailing off to white, and the Corroder spike-leg-things work rather well here too.
I think I like the helmet best- goes from smooth to 'rough' well, and actually does kind of look like a celery stalk itself..!

Creative stuff here. Now all they need is a tomato buddy and some ranch dip, and we'll be good to go!
